Taps Across America with a Military boat parade
On Memorial Day, Americans remember those who have died in military service to the United States. THE NATIONAL MOMENT OF REMEMBRANCE is an annual event that asks all citizens, wherever they are at 3:00 p.m. local time, to pause for a duration of one minute in silent tribute to the men and women who have honorably served in uniform and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
BLLA would like to participate in Taps Across America with a Military boat parade followed by Taps played at 3 pm on Monday May 27. Location details will be posted as we get closer.
At this time we are looking for Military service men & woman active and retired to participate in a short boat parade to the playing of Taps.

4th of July Fireworks
Join us at Dusk for the ANNUAL 4th of July Fireworks.
Invite your friends and neighbors to enjoy this wonderful spectacular display. Fireworks will be shot off barges from the middle of the lake. (2nd Basin)
In the event of rain, fireworks will be moved to TBA
Please note: the barges are in a “no wake zone”. Please respect the “no wake zone” for everyone’s safety while the barges are out. Large buoys that are dropped stay where they are, as the fireworks have to be in a specific location per permits. These are temporary and will be removed after the fireworks. Have a safe holiday weekend!

BLL Painting Class, Cocktails and Canvas
BLL painting class, Cocktails and Canvas, will be held at the BLL Clubhouse on March 23rd, from 1-4 pm. BIG Long Lake's longtime resident artist extraordinaire, Carl Mosher, will be teaching the class this year...and he has a beautiful "Carl creation" for us to paint!! The cost of the class is $30, which due to the class size being held to 25, we are requiring attendees pay up front to hold their spot. You can pay Jill Struckholz or Denise Gaff. Carl has determined the class size as he will be assisting painters in personalizing their painting, such as making the fishing boat the color of your own fishing boat; maybe some would like the fisherman with a child or another fisherman in the boat, just as a couple of Carl's ideas. Carl states this painting is not as difficult as it may appear as he has templates for the fisherman and boat you can use if you wish. ( You would trace the template and then paint it in.)
Bring your own cocktails and be sure to be there a little before 1 pm so we'll have the full 3 hours to complete our paintings! Treats will be provided. Looking forward to seeing you there! Paint away the end-of-winter blues while enjoying time with our BLL friends!!!

Who is the best chili maker on the lake? Come out on Oct 8 to the clubhouse for first annual BLL Fall Fest! Have your entries to the clubhouse by 5pm. We have prizes for top three entries!!
Scotty Butters is performing from 5 to 8 pm. Pumpkin painting for the kiddos, cornhole, ladder ball, 50/50. Atv, golf cart parade through Sunset Park (4:30). Who has the best “fall” decorated ride?
After having chili; get your sweet tooth fix by our Dessert cook off. Again we have prizes for the top three desserts!

Drive-in music concert. Anchor shoreside and “Rock the Boat” listening to Whoa, Man, playing on the the shores of Struckholz/Stephenson — Hartzell addition, 1st Basin.

Biggest Big Long Lake Tie Up on Labor Day Weekend. 1st Basin, look for the barges with corn hole, fun, and friends.
